Why am I putting myself forward as a candidate ?,
Firstly I believe the very active and focused life I lead and will lead as you the People’s President will inspire all, most especially our young people.
We all, including our young people, feel trapped by social media and the internet in general
I propose to help out with this mission.
I have been homeless for some time. This a choice I need not have made but it was done as short term measure , to be in solidarity with the homeless. I consider the homeless to include those who wish to buy a home but cannot get a mortgage. In a sense many who had to emigrate due to our property prices are also homeless. I do not intend to remain homeless . I designed and built one for my family with my own hands . 2300ft2 house which sold last spring. If you google “Rossbrook” Kerry pike you will see I do like my comforts so I will have no problem with Aras an Uachtarain …apologies must figure out how to do the fadas….one man show…need help
Another reason I am running is that for some time I have been appalled how the democratic process has been hijacked. We should have several candidates on our Presidential ballot paper . While not a fan of Mr Bertie a Ahern he should be on the ballot paper. So too should Mr Sean Kelly. In effect the ballot paper is not the peoples but that of a small privileged group
In solidarity with the “homeless”and now also in protest at the lack of respect for the democratic process by many of our elected I have decided to run my campaign from a very symbolic pod. Designed to be a permanent fixture it has a foot print of less than one square meter (0.96m2) Its taken several months to develope
As said it is very symbolic. I effect I will be living in a cross for this campaign.
When parked (its mobile for the campaign). This side will face to road. The other side is the happier side and on here you will have a character called woowie which I developed to help with WooW which is a mission statement “Watching Over Our “ Go to woow.ie to find out more. Bear in mind everything you see is the work of one tierless ( but now tierd) 66yr old. I need many people to take this over from here and make it a great education tool. Having lectured for a number of years I know the importance of education
I have a lot going on. Finishing the pod (not finished yet ) delayed my announcement of my intention to run until Sat 20th
I have this website since last December and 2000 tee shirts printed for my campaign. I was this campaign even before Mr Ahern.
It looks now like it may be just three/four on the ballot . I believe there should be several .
With Sinn Fein making an announcement today and unlikely to run a candidate, I now call on them to put me forward . They can still support another candidate. When parties run two or more candidates in a constituency in a general election they are in effect supporting more than one candidate, The other parties / groups could also support the homeless man who is making his effort to save the democratic process.
If Sinn Fein or indeed the others decide to ignore my campaign and bearing in mind that the undermining of the democratic process still needs to be addressed, I will continue my campaign whether on the ballot paper or not.
Speaking to many I believe as things stand that there will be a record low turn out.
My campaign off the ballot paper will drives that down further . On the ballot paper I believe we can get a record turnout.
Once elected I will also make it my mission to speak out when ever I feel the democratic process is being abused.
